You ever wonder how a weather man, or lady, can accurately measure the weather? Why not figure that out by making your own DIY Weather Station? In our DIY Weather Station lesson for kids we will teach you how to build simple devices that will measure weather. This is a great STEM/ STEAM activity for elementary school aged children to see how weather conditions are recorded, and how a daily weather report is created. It is also a good opportunity to discuss building your own scientific instruments to make science easy for everyone.
The materials used for building our weather station were mostly recycled, which made it very cheap to build.
In this lesson we will build a simple
•Barometer
•Anemometer
•Weather vane
•Rain gauge
